Huskia began on my dining room table during COVID-19 isolation back in March of 2020 when I began playing around with clay and wall hangings... everything blossomed from there!
The business name "Huskia" comes from my name Claudia - I took the “IA” and merged it with my first husk wall hanging I made back in 2019 and created HUSK-IA!
I am Wagga born and bred - home of the iconic 5 o’clock wave and the 9th best beach in Australia (...it's true, google it). In April of 2022, my family and I moved to the beautiful Sunshine Coast. A dream of ours for 6+ years, we finally took the leap and are enjoying actual beach life.
I began my flower journey when I was 15 years old; a brace faced teenager who spent a week's work experience in Wagga's best florist and eventually worked my way up to a full-time senior floral stylist. Once I graduated High School, I began working in the wedding and events and fell in love with the industry!
I can't wait to showcase our best selling clay pieces, offer stunning retail flowers, create florals for gorgeous weddings and events, and have a place for people to admire with the addition of our new retail space in Noosaville.
