Huskia began on my dining room table during COVID-19 isolation back in March of 2020 when I began playing around with clay and wall hangings... everything blossomed from there!
The business name "Huskia" comes from my name Claudia - I took the “IA” and merged it with my first husk wall hanging I made back in 2019 and created HUSK-IA!
I am Wagga born and bred - home of the iconic 5 o’clock wave and the 9th best beach in Australia (...it's true, google it). In April of 2022, my family and I moved to the beautiful Sunshine Coast. A dream of ours for 6+ years, we finally took the leap and are enjoying actual beach life.
I began my flower journey when I was 15 years old; a brace-faced teenager who spent a week's work experience in Wagga's best florist and eventually worked my way up to being a full-time senior floral stylist. Once I graduated High School, I began working in Wedding and Events and fell head over heels in love with the industry!
In May 2024, we launched our retail studio in the heart of Noosa. In our space, we create florals for gorgeous weddings and events, offer retail gift bouquets and have a place for people to admire with the perks of shopping our handmade clay creations in-store.
We are constantly growing, learning and evolving into a brand I am so incredibly proud of! Thank you for letting me call this my job.
